The main Functions of an advertisement are..
- To secure attention
- To arouse interest
- To bring about conviction
- To produce action
- To impress the memory
Here is my personal take on the TV Commercial/Advertisement of the 125 cc Bajaj XCD DTS-Si..
To its credit the TV Commercial of the Bajaj XCD manages to do all this quite well without even uttering a single word..!!
The advertisement definitely grabs your attention. The presentation is unique and execution is slick. The TV commercial is of international standards.
After grabbing the attention, the commercial will surely generate interest of the viewer to go through the 60 seconds.
Bajaj has recently taken a branding initiative under which they are using the Tag Line "Distinctly Ahead" along with the Bajaj Brand. Bajaj hopes that this will in turn bring about conviction in all the products that Bajaj produces and not just the Pulsar.
The TV Commercial definitely lingers in the memory long after you have seen the ad.
Additionally the commercial has to show the various features of the product. All this has to be accomplished within a span of about 60 seconds.
To its credit the TV Commercial of the Bajaj XCD manages to do all this quite well without even uttering a single word..!!
So far so good...
But will consumers reach out for their check books and accept the new Bajaj 125 cc DTS-Si XCD..?? Only time will tell.
Till then have a look at the following TV Commercial/Advertisement and try to deduce it for yourself.
