14 New Colors for the Yamaha's 2010 FZ Series

Yamaha FZ bikes gets new colors..

..the only thing that stopped a few of my friends from buying the FZ was the 153 cc engine, which obviously wasn't an upgrade from their existing bikes..

The FZ-16 and the FZ-S gets two new colors. Acording to Yamaha India, the FZ-16 and FZ-S did 85,000 units in the last 2009-10 fiscal year.

Now this is what I think..

The Yamaha FZ-16 and FZ-S bikes are according to me (let me say it once more) are works of motorcycle art.. it goes without saying that it is due to its handsome looks that the FZ has managed to carve a niche for itself among the motorcycles sold in India.

But..

I also happen to know a few friends of mine who were also bowled over by the beefy styling of the FZ had "almost" bought it.. the only thing that stopped them from doing so was the air cooled, 153 cc engine which makes 14 Ps, which obviously wasn't an upgrade from their existing bikes in terms of performance.

One of my friend even said that had the Yamaha FZ made around 18-20 Ps of power, it would have been the ideal package for him and would not have though twice before signing the cheque for it.

I am sure that the recent color upgrades should be able to sustain the story going for Yamaha India. But a proper engine upgrade would probably increase its desirability and maybe sales numbers even more.

Thankfully there has been no further price increase for the new colors. The new FZ-S will be available at a price of Rs. 67,000/- while FZ16 is priced at Rs. 65,000/- (Ex-showroom, Delhi).

Its sad that Yamaha is starting to ape Hero Honda

What a joke, but I am sure that there will still be poser boys who would still buy this rangoli

When Bajaj adds a tank scoop worth Rs.10 each to Pulsar 150cc with black finish, its a serious upgrade. And you guys are serious bikers who doesn't pose or show off. What a joke! LMAO.....

Who the hell said that the tank scoop was a serious upgrade?

Bajaj actually increased the peak power from 14Ps to 15Ps. That's what I cann an upgrade, not painting it blue and green.

Oh really? Go check Bajaj official site.

"Max. Power (Ps @ RPM)- 14.09 @ 8500"

Guys.. when there is a product in the market with better quality, try to appreciate it. Yamaha and Honda are light years ahead of Bajaj. Show me Pulsar's on the road with its LED tail lamp properly glowing and the tail not wagging as that of a loyal pet to its owner. Bajaj continuously delivers products with bad quality and you brand loyal pulsarians are very proud of it.. Stop bad mouthing about a better product in the market.. Get a life..

Looks like you spend more time sitting on the chair and surfing the internet. Move your lazy butt and enter into a bajaj showroom, the new Pulsar 150 makes 15Ps power and also comes with clip ons.

The FZ is a great product, although underpowered and overpried but the Japanese attitude in India is pathetic.

Mark my words, these aren't the last colors

@indi biker

Does increasing a 14Ps to 15Ps is serious upgrade?...

as for the clip on...look at the quality..for your information look P220 black clip on...looks like a painted one...

@Anonymous (above), I would definitely call an increase in power an upgrade.. although Bajaj hasn't made any promotion of its power upgrade on the Pulsar 2010 150.

@ Indi Biker, the new colors on the FZ's are are product refreshments and not upgrades.

Peace

@anonymous, P220 black clip on...looks like a painted one... right? for your kind info even the black alloys fitted on the R15 and the FZ look similar.

but at least the pulsar clip ons do not CRACK or BREAK like the R15 and FZ over a poth hole

LAMO........

Somebody is talking about cracking alloy wheels.. REWIND..... There were many reported cases where P200 had cracked FORKS.. And FYI P200 is no more in the market.. And after a serious campaign for the so called KRYSTAL.. Bajaj once the HAMARA BAJAJ (Scooter company) has quit the scooter market.. Poor brand loyal customers who bought P200 n Krystal.. LAMO........ Guys complaining about Rangoli colors and write a letter to your beloved ICON to deliver a product worth the money paid for. Go for quality and not quantity.. Am a proud indian and i dont blindly support the JAPS..
