Suzuki Motorcycles India expands its imorted range of motorcycles, adds the Intruder M800 to its "CBU" lineup
Its really difficult to get be worked up to post about bikes that I am not interested in. Nevertheless I am posting the news of the launch of the Suzuki Intruder M800 in India.
[News Source: Economictimes]
The issue here is not the model per se but the stratospheric price. At Rs. 8.8 lakhs (Ex-showroom Delhi) the Suzuki Intruder M800 might seem better value than its elder brother the Intruder M1800R which has a current price tag of Rs. 13.25 Lakhs(Ex-showroom Delhi), but it’s still too high to even remotely excite me.
The Intruder series from Suzuki aren't Classic Cruisers like Harleys but are more of a Modern Cruiser with Liquid Cooled engines. I am sure that they would be awesome to ride. But at my age, it’s too late for me to start dreaming of such high priced exotics.
The other imported "CBU" models from Suzuki India and its current prices are:
- Hayabusa: Rs 13 lakh
- Intruder M 1800R: Rs 13.25 lakh
- GSX-R1000: Rs 13.75 lakh and
- Bandit 1200S: Rs 8.8 lakh

Dude,
The main pic is of the bigger Intruder, the 1800R. Guess the ones posted below are the correct ones.
This is what happens when the interest level is low..
Thanks Melville for the correction, have got it corrected
Hey write something on Yamaha Vmax...bike looked awesome in the showroom...
It's okay man...as long as the spirit of biking is alive and well, we won't mind glitches ;)
On a related note, I guess the price cut on the Hyosung GT650N should have caught your attention more than this news. It's a much better deal at that special price of 3.8 lakhs...That should have been blogged about :)
@Melville,
Being a brand new Dad leaves very little of spare time. By the way the price cut on the GT650N is just for a limited offer.
wht you opinion about intruder 800 vs Hyosung ST7. the cost difference is too much in Blore. 800 cost 10.5 lac and ST7 cost 7lac on Road.
Cherrs!
