7 Official: 2 New Pulsars to be launched this year..!!

Mr. Rajiv Bajaj confirms that 2 new Pulsar models would be launched this year.. also collaborating with Kawasaki in Indonesia

Now this is not just another of those dime a dozen of blog speculations that float around the net. This is something which has come directly from the mouth of Bajaj Auto Boss. Bajaj Auto MD Mr. Rajiv Bajaj has made a statement on MoneyControl.Com/CNBC TV18 that 2 new Pulsars would be launched this year..!!

According to Mr. Bajaj "There are at least two new Pulsars- one that will be smaller than the Pulsar 200cc and another that will be much bigger"..!!


According to me the "Much Bigger Pulsar" should be based on the 375 cc engine which Bajaj has been developing for the KTM 390 Duke (read about the 390 Duke here). Now that will be a seriously big one..!!

2 Kawasaki Ninja 300 launched in India at Rs.3,5 lakhs (Ex-Showroom)

Kawasaki replaces its Ninja 250R in India with the new Ninja 300.. prices announced

Kawasaki today officially launched the Ninja 300 in India with a price tag of Rs. 3.5 lakhs (Ex-Showroom Delhi). Which means that there has been a price hike over the earlier model. This was anyway expected as the new Ninja comes with completely new body work a new 300 cc engine and revised chassis.

Though the high price tag puts the Ninja 300 out of reach of majority of desi motorcycle enthusiasts, the baby Ninja does deserve this premium positioning. The baby Ninja is a gem of a motorcycle to ride and with the recent performance upgrade I am sure that the best beginner sports bike of the world must have only got even better.

Am eagerly waiting for its ride experience now..

2 Royal Enfield to Launch Bullet 500 in India soon

Royal Enfield starts teaser campaign for its new Bullet 500 model for India..

With a long waiting list for its Classic models, niche motorcycle maker, Royal Enfield has been on a Golden Run since the last couple of years. If looked at closely at R.E India's modus operandi, it is not difficult to notice that just with a single engine platform (the U.C.E engine) and two variants (350 cc & 500 cc), Royal Enfield has been running the entire show quite astutely.

Despite the Thunderbird and Classic models, it is the "Bullet" brand that still has a dedicated fan base in traditional Royal Enfield markets..

Now that's a good example of smart and efficient manufacturing.

16 What Mahindra2Wheelers actually needs to do.. but probably won't

There is some serious disconnect in what Mahindra is doing with its 2 wheeler portfolio and what it can/should do..

If you are an Indian just close your eyes and tell me the words that automatically come to your mind when you hear, “Mahindra”.

I bet that the words would be something like:

Jeep / SUV, Rugged/Strong, Off Road Vehicles, Outdoors / Adventure

Now open your eyes and lo behold, in front of you is kept the Mahindra Pantero/Centuro..!! I mean W#% right?

Now close your eyes again.. think about the words that come to your mind when you hear the name “Mahindra”.. open your eyes and if you see the following... what would be your reaction?
