1 Jan 2011, 2 Wheeler Sales India

January 2011 sales numbers of our Indian 2 wheeler manufacturers..

With all the 2 wheeler manufacturers continuing with positive growth, the highlight in the month of January 2011 was Suzuki Motorcycles India overtaking India Yamaha Motors by just "1" unit..!!

The contribution of Scooters (& Mopeds) for both TVS and Honda (HMSI) is more than that of motorcycles (individual details posted after the graph).

42 How to Apply Brakes on Indian Roads

The experience posted below has been accumulated by yours truly after years of riding, skidding and even painfully falling on our Indian roads.

I was told not to touch the front brake (when I was young)...

8 TVS ready with ABS on its Apache RTR 180

The TVS Apache RTR 180 would get ABS (Anti Lock Braking System) soon..

If the ABS unit works perfectly, then believe me it is worth every paise..

There is no price greater than one's life

The race to be the first Indian manufacturer to feature ABS (Anti Lock Braking System) on a Made in India motorcycle seems to be on between Honda and TVS.

While Honda has started taking bookings for its CBR250R (one of the variant would feature ABS) the deliveries of which are slated to start from April 2011, TVS have started to make some PR buzz to announce to the world that it is ready to plonk in the ABS unit on its bikes.
