2 4'th National Pulsar Owner's Meet in Colombia..!!

"4 Nacional Encuentro Pulsar Colomia": 4'th National Pulsar Owners Meet of Colombia..!!

The City of Bucaramanga was the host for the 2008 Edition of the Annual Pulsar Owners meet of Colombia.. The meet was held on October 11'th, 12'th and 13'th. Posted below are images from that event in a Slideshow format..

[Check out the Sildeshow Pics in PicasaWeb..]

The 3 day event was filled with group rides, stunt demonstrations, fasion show, dance parties and probably even a strip show (search YouTube for "4 Encuentro Nacional Pulsar" for videos related to the event)..!! Pulsar owners from around 20 odd "Culb Pulsars" (formed according to the city of origin) participated in this year's meet.

From the Pics it seems that the ratio of "male : female" participants was quite even. They probably even have selected a "Miss Pulsar 2008" from among the participating damsels.. Sweet..!!

Posted below are the thumbnails of 3 clubs (among the 20 odd clubs) which participated in the event.

Photos of the Pulsarian Community from Indonesia..

My "Blog Friend" Gary Wiwaha has mailed me pics of their community.. they call themselves as "Pulsarians" and the common factor that bind them is their love for riding motorcycles and that they all own Pulsar 180/200 DTSi motorcycles in Indonesia. Till date the Pulsarian community has about 2,000 registered members spread across Indonesia.

Posted below is a slideshow made from the pics posted by Gary dude to me..

Check out the Photos in the slideshow in PicasaWeb...

4 What's up with TVS Motor in Indonesia? (News Archive- Apache RTR 160 Fi launched in India + Wallpapers)

Archived news on the launch of the TVS Apache RTR 160 Fi.. Plus updates on TVS Motor in Indonesia..

Following Bajaj Auto's Indonesian Foray, India's third largest two wheeler manufacturer, TVS motor had also set up its shop in Indonesia sometime back in 2007. Posted below are updates of TVS Motor's Indonesian Venture so far..

Even though TVS Motor has two products on sale in Indonesia, the 110 cc Step Thru "Neo" and the Apache RTR 160, a casual browse through the TVS Motor Indonesian Website will make it obvious that the main thrust of TVS in Indonesia is the "Neo" Step Thru..

Local Celebrity "Iwan Fals" is brand ambassador of TVS in Indonesia:

TVS Motor Indonesian Brand Ambassador, Iwan Fals

TVS Motor has followed a trend of appointing celebrities as their brand ambassadors (remember Sachin Tendular in the past and MS Dhoni currently) in India. In the same vein, TVS Motor has roped in local celebrity Iwan Fals who happens to be a popular musician in Indonesia as their brand ambassador.

Here is wishing TVS Motor the best for its Indonesian Venture.

TVS Launches Apache RTR 160 Fi in India...

The post made below is meant to chronicle the launch of motorcycle(s) in India between May-Oct 2008 (the period during which "The Bike Chronicles of India" was briefly inactive)..

TVS Motor launched the Fuel Injected version of its Apache RTR 160 on 7'th July 2008. Currently the Apache RTR 160 Fi is priced around Rs. 68,000 (Ex-Showroom New Delhi), which makes it around Rs. 10,000 costlier than the carbureted Apache RTR 160.

The visual differentiator of the RTR 160 and RTR 160 Fi is the rear disc brake which the fuel injected version has incorporated as a standard feature. The graphic stripes on the RTR 160 Fi also has got a serrated design which differentiates it from the straight stripes of the carbureted RTR 160.

The tech specs of both the RTR 160 and the RTR 160 Fi are virtually identical. Just that the "Fi" variant makes slightly more max power of 15.9 Ps compared to the 15.5 Ps of the carbureted RTR 160. The Max Torque of both the variants remain Identical at 13.1 Nm.
