5 KTM 200 Duke unveiled in Malaysia [Photos]

KTM 200 Duke makes it's appearance in Malaysia.. ahead of India

On 26'th Aug 2011, KTM unveiled it's (made in India) 200 Duke in Malaysia..!! It can't exactly be called as a launch as the actual deliveries would commence only from 2012. Also as announced officially a couple of weeks back, the KTM 200 Duke will be launched in India by 2012 Auto Expo (Jan 2012).

The KTM 200 Duke would most certainly be my next bike..!!

Posted below are more photos of the KTM 200 Duke. As expected it looks virtually similar to the 125 Duke except the 200 (in place of the 125) badging on the tank.

Right now there is no point speculating on the Specs or the Price for India and I would rather wait for the official announcement. Anyway the 125 Duke makes 15 Ps with its 125 cc engine and therefore one can make a guess how much power the 200 cc Duke could make.

Also since there is no visible difference in the looks of the 125 Duke and 200 Duke, one can expect the Kerb weight of the 200 Duke to be in the 130's (Kgs) range (like the 125 Duke). Which should give the 200 Duke a really healthy power to weight ratio.

KTM 200 Duke, my next bike..!!

Those exotic Upside Down front forks, trellis frame, liquid cooled, fuel injected engine, overall radical looks, promise of a healthy power to weight ratio and pride of owing a brand like KTM (the most revered when it come to making off road/adventure bikes) has convinced me that the KTM 200 Duke would be my next Bike..!!

Owing a 200 Duke would also make me swell with pride as I am aware that the KTM 200 Duke has been co-developed by Indian engineers from the R&D of Bajaj Auto and that the bike itself is manufactured in Pune, India..!!

Hey Guyz, does any one know what is the wheelbase of the KTM Duke 200? Is it a bigger bike than its sibling, the Duke 125?

Nice Bike, I would want to own this one day, but the only problem with this bike is a small fuel tank of 10L, which means effectively one can use only 7-8 Lts which is very small for longer rides or even Leh. Remember Tandi to Upshi is 365kms. Extra fuel tank is a pain in the a$$

The KTM 200 Duke will be a much more potent than the R15 and the CBR250R.

Proud to be an Indian

Ohh yeah, this bike looks mean and mascular. What I like most is it does'nt have the so called full fairing, which means less weight and more power. And thats a helluva combination to rock the streets!
