Hero Honda sold 421,366 units in November 2010 (Up by 10.5% over last year)

Hero Honda The country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero Honda today posted sale of 421,366 units for November, registering a jump of 10.48 per cent over the same month last year.

The company had sold 381,378 units in the same month last year, Hero Honda said in a statement.

"The four-lakh plus sales consistently recorded over the past seven months has imparted an excellent momentum to our sales for the rest of the year," Hero Honda Motors Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua said.

It is for the seventh consecutive time that the company has recorded more than four lakh sales in a single month.



Bajaj Auto sold 265,036 units of two-wheelers in November 2010 (Up by 9% over last year)

Bajaj Auto Ltd. Two-wheeler manufacturer, Bajaj Auto, today said it has clocked a nine per cent jump in its motor-cycle sales at 2,65,036 units in November, as against 2,42,390 units in the same month a year-ago.

Pulsar sales soared 66 per cent at 83,146 units while Discover sales increased seven per cent at 1,01,033 units, the company said in a statement here.

The company sold 34,195 units of commercial vehicles in November, as against 34,111 units in the same month last year. The Pune-based two-wheeler-maker exported 90,869 units in November, as against 98,521 units in the same month last year.

The company's exports affected due to logistic constraints, the statement said. The company clocked a 47 per cent jump at 2,306,679 units of motor-cycles for the period April-November, as against 1,574,439 units during the same period last year.
Its commercial vehicle sales jumped 37 per cent at 2,92,229 units for the period April-November this year, as against 2,13,080 units the year-ago period.



TVS Motor sold 153,882 units of two-wheelers in November 2010 (Up by 27% over last year)

TVS Motors During the last month, two wheeler sales of the company grew by 27 per cent, with sales of 153,882 units against 120,844 units registered in November 2009, it said in a statement.

Scooter sales increased by 44 per cent with sales of 36,233 units last month in comparison to 25,115 units registered in November 2009. Motorcycles sales continued to grow steadily at 40 per cent with sales of 62,995 units in November 2010 in comparison to 45,080 units recorded in November 2009.

Export sales stood at 14,341 units in November 2010 against 14,008 units registered in November 2009. Besides, the company sold 3,159 units of three wheelers in November 2010 against 1,101 units in the comparable period last year. Cumulative three wheeler sales for the period April to November this year grew 225 per cent with sales of 24,363 units against 7,495 units in the same period of the previous year, it said.



Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has sold 129,627 units of two-wheelers in November 2010 (up by 14% over last year)

Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) posted 14 per cent jump in sales at 129,627 units, compared to 113,489 in November last year.



Yamaha India sold 30,310 units of two-wheelers in November 2010 (Up by 23% over last year)

Yamaha India Two-wheeler maker India Yamaha Motor today reported 23.2 per cent increase in its total sales in November at 30,310 units.

The company had sold 24,600 units in the same month last year, India Yamaha Motor said in a statement.

In the domestic market, the company's sales stood at 22,710 units, as against 17,055 in the same month last year, up 33.15 per cent. Exports of India Yamaha stood at 7,600 units, as against 7,545 units in the year-ago period, it added.



Suzuki Motorcycle India has sold 25,439 units of two-wheelers in November 2010 (Up by 77% over last year)

Suzuki Motorcycle India Two-wheeler maker Suzuki Motorcycle India today reported a 77 per cent growth at 25,439 units sold in November compared to 14,393 units in the same month last year.

"We have received very good response from the market to all our products...We are committed to continue this growth momentum in future," Suzuki Motorcycle India Vice President (Sales and Marketing) Atul Gupta said in a statement.



Mahindra 2 Wheelers has sold 15,854 units of two-wheelers in November 2010 (Up by 125% over last year)

Mahindra 2 Wheelers Automaker Mahindra and Mahindra on Wednesday said two-wheeler sales grew 125 percent in November to 15,854 units.

Sales of motorcycles, which it launched earlier this year, were at 1,706 units.

"We are currently in the process of ramping up (motorcyle) production to meet demand," Anoop Mathur, president of the two-wheeler sector, said in a statement. Mahindra and Mahindra is India's largest utility vehicle maker and also sells scooters and motorcycles.
