15 TVS: Apache RTR "HyperEdge" 160

TVS upgrades its Apache RTR 160 as "HyperEdge"..

I had posted a couple of months back about TVS preparing to launch an upgraded Apache RTR codenamed as "HyperEdge". True to the original informatuion, an upgraded/refreshed Apache RTR 160 has been sighted in certain TVS showrooms.

Posted below are the photos of the new "TVS Apache RTR HyperEdge 160", Phew.. that's quite a mouthful..!!

TVS Apache RTR HyperEdge 160

Although confirmed official news is yet to arrive, but from whatever news that's available, mechanically and specification wise the bike is still the same as the earlier version. Also it's not confirmed if the RTR 180 gets the HyperEdge treatment as well.

What's the "HyperEdge" treatment?

Minor visual difference is in the "HyperEdge" sticker on the tank flaps. New design stripes on the tank, front fender and rear tail panel. Also the RTR Hyper Edge 160 gets the kind of detachable rear mud fender as available on the RTR 180.

Honestly I can't believe that this is an upgrade from a company like TVS Motor.

My fears came true after I clicked 'read more' link of this post. Big big words, very little deed. Disappointing!

@Siddarth,

truly disappointment for those expecting much more than this. In fact the 2010 Hero Honda Hunk upgrade looks much more substantial than this.

the manufacturer is yet to know what a true biker likes between his legs!veryyyyyyyyyyyy saddddddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTF is this? The TVS guys have gone bonkers.

WoW! TVS doing sticker job like Hero Honda. Whereas Hero Honda did some valuable upgrades to the Hunk.

This is a big let down. Atleast a 250CC version Apache news would have been enticing than this Hyper-Edge shit.

In terms of design, the oldest apache was better than this.:-) :-)

@aandy,

Your father is right.. in some markets, if it's a 2010 Dec model will be considered a year older than a Jan 2011 model..!!

Strange but true.

@Santosh,

The hyperedge is the latest version of the RTR 160. I did not feel much difference in terms of ride feel over the older RTR 160

Go for it
