4 Hero Honda: New 2010 Hunk

The New Hero Honda Hunk arrives..

A few weeks back, I had posted about a video found on the internet which showed off the new features on the new Hero Honda Hunk.

2010 Hero Honda Hunk

So far there has been no official mention from Hero Honda about the launch of it's upgraded 150 cc Hunk.

But as like most of Hero Honda products, it seems that the new 150 cc Hunk too has silently made its appearance finally.

The details of the New Hero Honda Hunk can be found on it's updated website.

Hero Honda has surprisingly not highlighted about the "New Stickers" on its updated Hunk mini site..!!

What's New in the new Hero Honda Hunk?

Digital Speedometer and LED tail lights are a bit, "late but better than never" feature on the 150 cc Hunk.

The design/styling related changes are nothing out of the box, but providing an Optional Rear Disc Brake variant and adoption of Tubeless Tyres definitely is worth a praise for Hero Honda.

Prices:

The Rear Disc Variant seems to be costlier by around Rs. 3,000 over the Drum brake variant. According to the Hero Honda website the Rear Drum Brake variant has an Ex-Showroom Delhi price of Rs. 58,775 (On Road Delhi, Rs. 64,724).

So the Rear Disc variant should come at around Rs. 61,775 which is still about Rs. 1,000 cheaper than the Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler (which also has a standard rear disc). Not a bad option at all for the customer, as according to me the Hunk is one of the better looking 150 cc motorcycle in India. But personally I still can't get past that name.

By the way there is also the de rigueur "New Stickers" on the tank area, which surprisingly Hero Honda has missed out to highlight on its updated site..!!

For a change, looks like there were some substantial new features to talk about this time.

New Features on the 2010 Hero Honda Hunk:

  • Digital Speedometer

  • LED Tail Light

  • A New Design Visor

  • Optional Rear Disc Brake

  • Tubeless tyres and a new design Front Fender

  • The Kick start lever has been removed so the bike has self start only now

  • There are no changes on the Engine Specs over the older model
