June 2010 sales numbers of our Indian 2 wheeler manufacturers..

The dream sales run continues for all of our 2 wheeler makers even in the month of June. Posted below are the June 2010, two wheeler sales numbers.


1. The monthly sales figures include domestic sales as well as exports. Also it includes sales of all types of 2 wheelers (Motorcycles, Scooters, Mopeds etc.)

2. Total June 2010 sales for HMSI has not been made public so far. Only the domestic numbers have been shown in the above graph as total sales. The HMSI June 2010 export numbers might not be included as shown in the above graph.

Hero Honda sold 426,454 units in June 2010 (Up by 16% over last year)

Hero HondaThe country's largest two-wheeler maker Hero Honda today reported a 16.60 percent jump in its sales in June at 4,26,454 units over 3,65,734 units it sold in the corresponding month last year.

This is the 18th consecutive time that the company has recorded sale of over 3 lakh units in a single month.

Bajaj Auto sold 282,808 units of two-wheelers in June 2010 (Up by 68% over last year)

Bajaj Auto Ltd.The country's second largest two-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto today reported 68.39 per cent jump in its motorcycle sales at 2,82,808 units in June (2010). The company had sold 1,67,945 units in June last year, Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) said in a statement.

BAL's exports went up 68.36 per cent to 1,14,024 units in June from 67,726 units in June, 2009.

TVS Motor sold 156,685 units of two-wheelers in June 2010 (Up by 36% over last year)

TVS MotorsTVS Motor Co Ltd said on Thursday its June two-wheeler sales rose 36 percent from the same period a year earlier to 156,685 units.

On exports front, it posted an increase of 66 per cent with sales of 16,780 two-wheelers against 10,087 units in June 2009.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has sold 146,073 (in India) units of two-wheelers in June 2010 (up by 41.5% over last year)

Honda Motorcycles and Scooters IndiaHonda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI), leader in the automatic scooter segment, sold 146,073 units of two wheelers in the domestic market during the month of June 2010.

HMSI recorded growth of 41.5 per cent for the month as compared to sales of 103,209 units for the same month a year earlier.

Motorcycle sales were 66,334 units, a growth of 50 per cent, while sales of scooters grew by 35 per cent to 79,739 units.

Note: Like last May, even this month only the domestic sales numbers of HMSI has been published

Yamaha India sold 28,155 units of two-wheelers in June 2010 (Up by 32% over last year)

Yamaha IndiaTwo-wheeler maker India Yamaha Motor today reported 32.32 per cent increase in its total sales in June at 28,155 units.

The company had sold 21,278 units in the same month last year, India Yamaha Motor said in a statement. The domestic sales rose by 18.34 per cent to 21,157 units in June 2010 from 17,878 units in the same month last year.

During last month, the company exported 6,998 units as against 3,400 units in the year-ago period, a jump of over two-fold.

Suzuki Motorcycle India has sold 17,876 units of two-wheelers in June 2010 (Up by 44% over last year)

Suzuki Motorcycle IndiaTwo-wheeler maker Suzuki Motorcycle India today reported a 44.37 per cent jump in sales to 17,876 units in June, on the back of good response to its products.

The company had sold 12,382 units in June 2009, Suzuki Motorcycle India said in a statement.

During the occasion, the company had said it is looking at a 40 per cent jump in sales this year. It had sold 1.88 lakh units in 2009-10 in the commuter segment.
