^^ do u expect bajaj to give 1 each to the whole police force?! but its a good move, so they can use it as trial and see how good it is, then they may issue a RFP for more. sweet business move. but hope it pays of. Same thing occured in Chennai, where Hyundai gave the Chennai police i think 5 or 6 Hyundai cars as they were allowed to open a factory there. But i don't know whether the police bought more then after or not. 220Fi's are expersive. not sure if the nepal govt can afford buying a fleet. and do they really need such great bikes? are they managing an autobhan or something? bajaj should have just given them some xcd. its more than enough.

Around 100 Hyundai ACCENT cars and 100 TVS APACHE were given to Chennai police..

The Chennai police force inducted 100 Hyundai Accent patrol cars that was donated by the Hyundai Motor Company, whose factory is located in Sriperumbudur, on the outskirts of the city. The cars are fitted with digital cameras, wireless communication devices and loudspeakers, making CCTP the only police force in the country to use sedan patrol cars.

^^ Anon, Chennai needs it. not Nepal. i think Chennai alone has more people than all of Nepal. Yes, TVS gave the govt because they are a Chennai based company, while Hyundai was given green light to open a big factory there too.

But TVS and Bajaj aren't suitable for police. They should stick with Enfield. Even the Accent doennt look good. they should use scorpios or something.

i juz hope tata doesn't give some Nano's to WB govt for allowing a plant there. It'll be the most stupid, incapable police car in the world. they should give some safaris or the new sumo.

Hey Satadal, I am a regular observer of your blog. Being a nepali myself it excited me to see a news from Nepal in you popular diary. But looking at some of the comments, it does disappoint me.

Regarding the comment,"Do they really need such great bikes?".....

- First of all the P220 is no great bike compared to the Suzuki 650cc that Nepalese Tarffic Quick Response Team(QRT) has been riding over the years.

Regarding the comment,"Are they managing an Autobahn or something?"....

- I don't think so, a presence of Autobahn, the world's fastest highway would even require a comparitively low powered bike like Pulsar 220cc. You'll need probably litre class bikes or fast cars to chase down culprits in the autobahn highway. So I guess this question doesn't hold relevance. Of course it is not necessary for anonymous people to determine if Bajaj should give out an XCD or a P220 to anybody. If you were to consider the traffic conditions in the city for buying a bike, then all of us should be riding Splendor considering the Indian and Nepali City roads.

And if the Nepali Government cannot afford a fleet of Pulsar 220cc, let me tell you that our Traffic Police previously and still rides around in the Suzuki 650cc... These three P220's serves as a gift from the Bajaj dealership here in Nepal to the government. Its a part of their marketing and promotional strategy.

And please Chennai definetely doesn't have more people than Nepal. Population of Chennai is around 8 million people while for Nepal its around 25 million. Anyways the population of the people is not necessary to determine what the Traffic Police should ride. If this was it, then the Italian Police should be going around in P220's and perhaps the Indian Police in Lamborghinis. The Italians sure have very low population compared to the Indians, and with logics like this by anonymous people, the Italian Police definetely doesn't deserve the Lamborghinis......

@ Satadal thanks for the post !.. Keep us updated

Hi Ayush,

Thanks a lot for following my posts and thanks again for leaving a comment..

Please do not bother what other people have to say.. Bikers from the developed countries would consider the Pulsar 220 a underpowered bike with its 20 Ps Power..

But that certainly won't stop us from enjoying riding it.. Don't let the comments of "Anonymous" guys bother you.

Thanks again for writing in bro..

Ride Safe.
