13 Book your Suzuki Hayabusa in India..!!

"If you got a rich dad.. or if you have a substantial bank balance... You can now play John Abraham and book yourself the SUZUKI HYABUSA in India now..!!"

Suzuki Hayabusa in India

Yes, it seems the bike made famous by Bollywood Actor John Abraham in the movie "Dhoom" can be booked in India for a cool Rs.13,00,000. Don't ask me how or who is accepting the bookings... but this is what the Hindu Business Line has quoted... check it out

I have seen print ads of Suzuki which are actually meant for the 125 C.C Suzuki Zeus and Suzuki Heat... but it was the the Hayabusa which got more prominence in those advertisements than the two 125 C.C models...

So is Suzuki trying to build a brand of itself in India by its Super Premium offering..??

If this is true then would be music to the ears of the bike enthusiasts of India who have deep pockets and wouldn't mind spending a small fortune to own these exotic beauties.. it also opens up the possibility of other Japanese Manufacturers (Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki) following a suit...

Is Suzuki Motorcycle co. India really accepting orders for the Hayabusa..?? Will they also take care of the after sales service too..?? Can anyone provide more info..??

1. Thats too expensive! for a bike that is touted to go 'out-of-production' in less than a year's time. There is an 'all new' Hayabs on the cards for next year as a early 2008-model

2. Why not Delhi/Mumbai/Bangy/Chennai and go to Rajamundry [a smaller town in Andhra]? Sounds like a one-man-import-sale model than a Suzu-assisted deal.

3. I ride a Suzuki VStrom 650 and believe the Hayabs is a model of excesses and aimed at the number-loving American consumers and posers and wont have much use in India. Despite the Golden Quads and interconnects, anything over 200kmph will go untapped. Hope the bike makers dont read too much into this sales pattern and alter their own plans of high-output models.

Having said that, I was looking at a used 2000-2002 model Hayabs not long back :) thankfully, got bowled over by VStr650.

hi Anonymous..

It would be a good idea if Yamaha or Honda starts selling their international models in India against orders... and provide after sales service too..

There will be many more enthusiasts like you in India..

Congrats on ur Ride bro..

Hey i dunno about suzuki's power bike ideas although i think they may consider CBU route like Hyosung but then again after BMW's debacle in '98 they may not be so keen, i dont know.

has anyone seen the Zeus ad on tv nowadays.. its one of the most ridiculous bike ads these days (first place taken by none other than HEro Honda for boring "Glamour F1" and Achiever.. then again looking back on Sourav Ganguli's dance steps for Passion that was the ultimate)..
Anyways coming back to Zeus. they show the GSX and another bike.. and then show Zeus OVERTAKING both of them.. and they r shown in its side miroors!! what the *@&#!

Hey anony.., thanks for the tip on the haya. I did not know it was up for a full revamp. In fact i was planning on one in the next 6 months.
Moreover I just bought myself a CBR1000RR fireblade as a step up to buy the Haya.

NOW I have serious second thoughts. Thanks for the tip

1300000 for a 2007 Hayabusa in india..........in Nepal it is 1900000 divide by 1.6 ( thats the exchange rate)(1187500 IRS) for a 2008 modle. Unfortunately only one came in and fortunatley it got sold before it came to Kathmandu. Long live the bikers of the world

THE HAYABUSA IS ONLY 10,000$ IN USA INCLUDING TAX AND TITLE, THATS COMING TO AROUND 5 LAKHS, 12.5 LAKHS FOR THAT BIKE IS TOO MUCH AND IS NOT WORTH IT, ON THE ROAD PRICE IN INDIA CAN COME UPTO 14 Lakhs, THE IMPORT DUTY OF INDIAN GOV, MUST BE RELAXED OR SUZUKI SHOULD MAKE AND ASSEMBLE THE BUSA IN INDIA TO GET IT GOING.

The loaded price for India is more than the cost of the bike outside India! Indigenous production in India, under license and international quality controls, will bring the price down significantly. I would like a cruiser eg. Harley D. - not in the same range as the speedy Jap bikes tho! Any thoughts abt cruisers for Indian road conditions? Readers thoughts welcome....
