Far from looking like the CBZ the bike looks like a Hero Honda Achiever, which got punched on both ends..!! Extremely Dissappointed I'd say.
Where does HH get their bikes designed..??
Wait is that brushed aluminium on the console..?? Well...
Another BIG dissappointment from Hero Honda... there was a lot of excitement lately in anticipation of the CBZ Xtreme... It was mostly because of the brand name "CBZ" associated with it.... even if the CBZ is no longer in production anymore, its name still manages to strike a cord with the bike enthusiasts of the country who still remember the thrill when they first saw the CBZ...
I was one of those who was smitten by the CBZ when it was first launced.... so enamoured I was by its seductive form that I convinced my father to part with 65K (Yes..!! that too back in 1999..!!) to buy me one of those while I was still in College...
Though my love affair with the CBZ was short lived.. I still remember with fondness the first time I saw her photo on Overdrive.. It was like Teenage Love (immature yet unforgettable) ...
So when I now see my teenage hearthrob reduced to something like this....

lol just like the pulsar "phantom" we should call this thing the CBZ cyclops :p
Definitely... But really sad that the CBZ name has been diluted...
yupp..CBZ has been murdered by Hero Honda...Watsup vth HH...Hav they lost thier designers...All new hero honda bikes look like Chinese make!!!!:-)
Thank God that at least TVS (better late than never) and Bajaj are on the right track...
For u ppl all that matters are the looks??? Get real, this is the most powerful 150cc bike in India right now, I guess you guys would rather have a non performing "good looking" bike then a performer!
Well Yogesh, U do have a point there... Definetely a "Non Performing" "Good Looking" bike is of no use...
But Looks do matter a lot to most bikers... The Original TVS-SUZUKI FIERO had one of the best engines.. But seriously had problems in the looks dept.
Just Imagine had Honda given the Unicorn styling similar to the KARIZMA... it would have killed the Pulsar..!!
Its an Opportunity Lost for the bike makers.. Just a little bit of more investment in styling would give them more market share
Glad to see TVS revived the FIERO as the APACHE... No one is complaining now..
i like your "cyclops" idea .. really cbzx has not kept the looks of it ..
but yesterday i test rode apache, karizma, p150, achiever and cbzx ... and decided on cbzx (i cant afford karizma :D) ... i think its really cool on performance ...
what say ?
Don't get me wrong Arnab...
Those were my first reactions on the CBZ Xtreme... I had owned a CBZ (Classic) once upon a time so the looks of the new CBZ has put me off actually...
But its just the looks... I have yet to test ride the CBZ Xtreme... It can definitely be a very good machine...
Yea truly agree wid u..
chkl out de post on my blog.
malteshashrit.wordpress.com..

Hi HERMAN PADDA,
Don't get me wrong.. but are my views on the CBZ Xtreme.. You are free to have your own views accordingly
The CBZ Xtreme is definitely a good bike.. both in terms of its engine as well as its handling..
But its the Styling that has "xtremely" dissappointed me.. Compared to the Original CBZ, the styling of the Xtreme is Very Poor..
Again those are my comments.. others are free to have their own comments..
Well, this blog is surely biased. I thinks it is mantained by the bajaj people. I dont think Xtreme is so ugly as it is made out by you guys
oh yes, and i suppose you (anonymous) are one of the munjal (of hero honda) grandpas
