The Indian customer never had it so good. In order to outdo the competition, bike manufacturers have started to lure the customers (who are already flooded with a range of models to choose from) by offering extra goodies like alloy wheels on the entery level 100 C.C commuter motorcycles.

And to make matters worse for Hero Honda (the industry leader in the 100 C.C segment), these new models come at a price of around Rs. 40,000 (around U.S $900), which is shade under the price tag of it's best selling 100 C.C model and market leader, the "Splendor".

TVS Motor started it with the "Star City" then Bajaj Auto followed it with the "Platina" and now Yamaha Motor India has joined the fray with the "G5"
In the meantime the Hero Honda "Splendor" still dosen't come with alloy wheels, even as an option.
